Office Policies

Your appointment

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If the office door is unlocked, feel free to sit quietly in the waiting room and I will come out to greet you as soon as I can.

Sundays and after 5pm, you will need to use the buzzer to gain entry. Follow the instructions on the keypad to search for Dear Osteopathy Ltd or dial # 216 and I will buzz you in. If you arrive very early, and there is no answer, I may still be in treatment. Hang tight and feel free to text me if there are any issues.

If you need to use the washrooms, they are located in the same hallway as the office.

Please notify me as soon as possible if your health status changes between the time you receive your 48-hour in advance appointment reminder. This allows me enough time to try and offer it to another client, should you need to cancel.

Masking is encouraged but not mandatory.

Please sanitize or wash your hands upon entering and immediately after your treatment.

Forms of Payment/Receipts

E-transfer is the preferred method of payment. Fees are payable at the time of the appointment. Receipts are issued by email so that you may be reimbursed directly by your extended health care plan provider, if coverage applies.

Late appointments

Things happen. I understand. Treatment begins at the time of your scheduled appointment. If you are running late, I will do as much as I can in the remaining time and must finish as scheduled out of respect for the next client. Clients are responsible for the full cost of the originally scheduled treatment period.

Cancellation Policy

A minimum of twenty-four hours advance notice is required for appointment cancellation or rescheduling, otherwise, the full treatment fee will be charged. I will be in touch 48 hours in advance to check in. If you are feeling unwell at that time, please let me know and we will reschedule vs. “waiting and seeing”the day of. Should your health status change and you are feeling unwell, please contact me as soon as possible so that I may try to offer the spot to another client. If I am unable to fill the last minute cancellation, the full fee will be charged.

Covid -19 protocols to keep clients, RMTs and our loved ones safe

If you suspect exposure to Covid-19, have a cough, or have been travelling, masking is strongly encouraged, although not mandatory. I continue to self-screen daily for symptoms and am happy to mask for the safety of my clients, colleagues and loved ones.

I will contact you 48 hours in advance of your treatment. If you are unwell at this time, please reschedule vs. “waiting and seeing”. Should your health status change between the time of your 48 hour advance appointment reminder and your treatment, we’ll do a risk assessment and determine how to proceed.

Sanitizing treatment rooms and hand washing protocols remain the same, based on our standards of practice and guidelines from the CMTO, the Ministry of Health and Toronto Public Health.
